Artist Development Manager - LADA 2023 -

Interim Artist Development Manager, joined LADA in June 2023. LADA is a Centre for Live Art based in the East End of London.  An organisation which shares many of our values and concerns around issues of equality, feminism, displacement, study and research. LADA present regular public talks, screenings, and events at our Garrett Centre home, all of which are free to attend. We also host research gatherings, residencies, workshops and MA classes

Producer - Divergency 2021 -

Divergency was set up in 2014 and it’s a talent development initiative to support emerging ethnically diverse North-West artists towards the creation of excellent new work beyond the limitations of a single culture. It is an artist-led organisation supported by NPO hÅb, Sustained Theatre Up North (STUN) and Black Gold Arts (BGA). As a producer, my role I project manage and produce workshops, showcases and weekly online meetings that support the artists in their artistic and professional development.

Manchester Digital Performance Archive Project 2021

The University Of Manchester (Apr - Aug 2021) A pilot project aiming to provide and hold space for recent works (2015 - 2021) by Greater Manchester-based multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary performance artists of diverse heritage (Black, African, East and South Asian, Middle Eastern and Arab) in a digital collection for universities and schools in teaching, and for artistic practitioners alike.

Directing & Workshop Experience

University of Bedfordshire

Feb 2022 and Feb 2023, I directed for a semester at the University of Bedfordshire directing The Cure at Troy by Seamus Heaney using this interdisciplinary performance practice I have developed throughout my practice. To provide the students with a diverse, collaborative, and fluid framework that pulls from African conceptual thought.

Pendleton College 2022

A well-being-centred workshop framework that sets up an imaginary space to question our stories, representation, identity and culture. The workshop provocation to participants is 'What story do you want to tell and how do you want to tell it?' The workshop will include movement, meditative writing and hypnotherapy. 

Manchester Metropolitan University 2021

Director (Rise Up, Speak Up Workshops) - Manchester Metropolitan University (May - Jun 2021) a series of workshops (performance and creative writing) that questioned identity, belonging, and our need to question who we are and the freedom and self-expression through performance.

Manchester Metropolitan University 2020

Director (Poetics of Freedom) - Manchester Metropolitan University (Sept - Oct 2020) Poetics of Freedom is an online performance for audio, a poetic conversation on the personal and social implications of race and heritage.
